Soft and Wild

When Pupa Milano contacted me asking whether I would like to try a couple of things from the Soft & Wild Limited Edition collection, I have to admit I did get quite excited. The colours and packaging were right up my alley.
The products in this collection range from soft nude shades to berry and darker shades to bring out the wild side in you, whilst at the same time showing a little softness. And to emphasize that wild side is a leopard print pattern over certain items in the packaging. One of the most exciting bits is their top coat in Black Leopard which is a transparent top coat with micro glitter and sequins in the shape of leopard spots! Perfect for those lazy days when you don't want to be bothered about nail art.
One of the products that I was sent is the Wet & Dry Eyeshadow in shade 001 Golden Mauve. This is a baked eyeshadow and honestly, it feels like silk. It's so smooth, and so soft to the touch. The eyeshadow itself looks textured so I wasn't expecting this type of silkiness. Golden Mauve looks like a brown at first glance, but it's actually a brown based purple. Applied dry it's definitely quite sheer, but very buildable. The more you build it up, the more the purple shows up and there's also very fine golden shimmer to this. It's also very, very easy to blend as it's really soft. I like the fact that it starts of as sheer as for people out there who don't feel that adventurous with eyeshadows can actually use this type of shade without feeling too blown out of their comfort zone.
The other product I was sent was one of their Pure-Color Lipstick Absolute Shine in 004 Wild Fuchsia. This colour is actually a little out of my comfort zone as I like reds and deep pinks. But I also like trying new shades, particularly lipsticks that smell just like vanilla which this does! This swatches beautifully, velvety smooth and very moisturizing. It didn't sink into any fine lines and didn't feather. It also felt very moisturizing on the lips.

A New Reign

Trousers: ASOS | Jumper: | ASOS | Necklace: New Look | Shoes: New Look | Hat: Tally Weijl
Last Wednesday was my birthday, and naturally I had to take the day off. I haven't had such a relaxed day in such a long time. Even when I was searching for a job, it wasn't me being relaxed I was just bored and needed something to do so I was never truly relaxed. Each year before now I was in school, and ALWAYS had something to do so I could never just be super relaxed, until now.
It was a really great day, I felt really spoiled, the weather was really nice and it wasn't humid! My birthday is always humid, but this year it was just lovely.
It's getting dark at around 4:30pm these days, so taking decent outfit pictures is becoming a little hard. But since I had the day off on a weekday, I took the opportunity to take outfit pictures. Also, this hat. I haven't worn this hat in about 2 or 3 years, but I thought this was such a good outfit to wear it with!

Remember to go slow

Top: H&M | Jeans: ASOS | Shoes: Ebay
H&M don't ship to Malta, which is a huge, huge bummer and they also don't ship to PO Boxes. They don't allow you to change your address on the website itself, but use an outdated way of having to send them a letter to request a change of address. Huge hassle in my opinion, and is just about the only thing that sucks about H&M. However!! I found out about a shipping company (Trotters Independent) in Malta that have a house in the UK and you can ship to them and have the products shipped over here. I had a list of H&M products that I wanted, contacted them and got my items within 2 weeks. The only thing is if you don't like something you can't exactly ship it back, but that's a risk I was willing to take. This jumper was just one of the few things that I wanted from H&M, and I love it. It's stripes AND it also has this gorgeous gray bit at the top. How could I not? I do need to have it taken in though as it's a little too wide from the sides.
Then there's the matter of these jeans. I never thought I'd end up being a jeans lover, but the ASOS Sculpt Me Jeans have won me over. The ones that I have are in a Maiden Wash. The fit is really nice, and it doesn't feel slouchy. ASOS also don't have a size 4, 6, 8 etc in their jeans but have jeans according to your waist size and length which is great. Another thing I like about these, is that they are high waisted and have a bit of an elasticity to them. Most bottoms (pants, shorts, jeans etc) leave me with extra material at the waist that then gapes.. I don't know if I'm explaining that right. It just doesn't look great. But these? These are my holy grail jeans, and I love the way they look!

Good Things Micellar Water

Good Things Acai Berry Micellar Water
You might have heard about Micellar water (and if you haven't, where have you been?). Micellar water is a cleanser used to cleanse your face gently. It's generally applied with a cotton pad and just a few drops of it can remove your make up for the day, as well as cleanse it.
Micellar water actually originated in France in the 1990's (at least according to Marie Clare UK) and were used to help women cleanse their faces gently as Paris actually has "notoriously harsh water". Micellar waters are supposed to be soap-free cleansers that don't need to be rinsed, and therefore are meant to be a lot more gentler on the skin.
There, you now know what Micellar Water is, so let's take a look at the particular one that I've been using for the past few months, have emptied and repurchased. When I saw the Good Things Micellar Water in my local supermarket, I knew I had to get it and at least try it out. If you've seen my previous review of the Good Things Products (which I've finished up, re-purchased, and use daily religiously), then you know that I love this brand quite a lot.
I have highly sensitive skin, so certain products make my skin sting, give me a rash, or dry out my skin so badly, that it sometimes cracks. This means I really need to be careful which products I use on my skin and is one of the reasons I try to go for products that have natural ingredients in them. The Good Things Micellar water has Acai Berry, Mango and Blueberries and as always are not tested on animals, do not have animal ingredients in them, free from parabens, mineral oils and sulphates. I don't know about other Micellar waters, but this definitely needs to be rinsed off. It feels just slightly soapy.
For the first week that I've used this, it made my skin burn, but it didn't irritate me,  cause any flare ups or any sort of reactions. But make sure to not get into your eyes, as this burns. What I like to do is use it on the rest of my face, and then use the same cotton pad on my eyes. Not only does it mean that most of the product has gone onto the rest of your skin, but it also feels a lot more gentle on the eyes. I kept on using it, and gradually the burn feeling stopped. I've been using this morning and night, to remove my make up and cleanse my skin and it works perfectly. I used to use the Rimmel Eye Makeup Remove to remove my makeup before, but I haven't used that in months. I've just been using this before the rest of my skin care routine.
My skin feels quite refreshed and clean after using this, and after a couple of weeks my skin looks quite healthy looking. The fact that this has anti-oxidants in it as well being vitamin rich because of the superfruit in it, means your skin is kept hydrated, and doesn't need more vitamins in their skin?. Like all the Good Things products, this smells amazing and it's not an overly powerful scent either. It's also a quick way of cleansing your skin if you don't have time to do the rest of your make up.
