Your story is just where you left it

Top: Shana Skirt: Mum Shoes: New Look
So I've been trying to buy a white lace crop top for a while now, but the only ones that I found were at Topshop, and we all know Topshop can be more than a little over priced! So hey presto, yet another Topshop dupe at Shana! I actually found a mesh top at Shana that's a dupe for Topshop at a fraction of the price! Check out that outfit post here. So couldn't resist buying it and wearing it. I'm hoping I'll be able to wear it in the slightly colder months with a maxi skirt and denim jacket for a more 70's vibe or a leather jacket for a bit of an edge.. yeah. I love dreaming about how to wear particular pieces of clothing and the day that goes along with them. Am I the only that does this or are there more people who do this?
I've been a bit absent from the blog front now... I'm so stressed out about school starting again next Tuesday. I've no idea how the timetable is going to be.. but I'm so thankful that I'm with my friends again in class. I always feel so vulnerable when school is about to start and I don't tend to show it. Moving away from home is hard, especially when you're moving to the next island.. 3 hours travelling time just to get to the apartment, and then from school to come back to Gozo.. I don't even want to think about it. I hate moving back to the apartment.. I honestly really, really do.

I've been fading away

Dress: Primark Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
I very rarely wear lace dresses. Don't get me wrong, I love lace dresses, but I always think I'm either going to look childish in them or way too country. I'd really love to own a white lace dress, just not sure what kind of lace dress.. Should it be sleeveless or should it have sleeves? High cut at the neck, or slightly low cut? Do I get it in a corset style dress, or more of a plain simple lace dress? It's so complicated for me, that I'd rather just not buy one at all.. for now.
The second I saw this dress, I knew I had to have it. It was listed as a mauve colour, which it definitely is not! It's a gorgeous light indigo colour and I don't have ANYTHING remotely close to it in my wardrobe!
My boyfriend and I had a dinner date two Friday's ago and this is what I wore. We haven't had a dinner date in a while so it's always exciting when we actually go get ourselves dinner and hang out. I get really excited and just try not to show it! It's nice to just get out of the house and hang out at the same time! I wouldn't want to do it ALL the time, just the once in a while. This Saturday we had a really nice picnic with the most amazing view, so yup, exciting times indeed.

The fading flowers

Top: Shana Skirt: Made by Mum Shoes: New Look
Visiting an old neighbour of mine who I've known ever since I was a baby, her great-grand children were over and showing me what they bought from Shana! One of them being this top that I absolutely fell in love with and had to get. Here's what I couldn't believe... it was 4.99! INSANE. So I bought 3 colours of the same top and one of them I really shouldn't have bought. Cheap price tags make you want to buy more. I'm so ashamed that I bought 3 colours of the same top because it's not something I usually do! But oh well! It is a definite dupe for Topshop which is amazing, so that's good right?
My mum made this skirt for me last year, and because it's a maxi skirt and especially because of its gorgeous pattern, I feel like I can wear it as both a skirt and a dress! I actually wore it here. This time, I wore it with a crop top, oh yeah! I'm really thankful for having such a talented mum and I really want to learn how to sew my clothes, right now I'm sticking with knitting and very nearly completing my first jumper, but more on that later on.. in some future post!
I actually can't believe my hair's this long now... I always have this thought that my hair's length is down to my waist so it's sometimes a shocker seeing it as a hell lot longer than that! It does need a trim with its shorter layers though because rather than being all nice and bouncy they're dragging themselves down with their own weight... Lord, that sounds wrong. And it's so difficult getting a bump-less smooth pony tail these days! I could actually get a perfect pony tail in seconds and now.. just can't manage! What's wrong with me!?

Take the time to make this last

Top: Topshop Skirt: H&M Shoes: New Look Necklace: Ebay
I haven't worn this t-shirt in roughly a year and I really felt like wearing a black bodycon skirt. Having had to hurry out of the house once, I paired up this bodycon skirt with a really oversized t-shirt and it worked. So I decided to try it again with this Topshop tee. I fell in love with this top a couple of years back and promptly bought it. It's got such a grunge feel to it. I've had a couple of people comment on this tee saying it reminds them of some album cover or another, so yeah. I can't think why I don't wear this more often!
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm actually trying to stay away a bit from dresses, it's usually all I wear! I absolutely love dresses, but you can't be that creative with a dress for the most part, and I also realized I'm in dire need of tops. I have more dresses than tops in my wardrobe, so yeah, definitely need tops. It's my excuse for wanting more stuff... But to be fair on myself, I've hardly bought anything this Summer, mainly because I could barely find things I actually wanted! So I've compiled a rather long wishlist detailing exactly what I want, and that way whenever I want something I can refer to the wishlist and see if its there and if not I could always add it :P But having a wishlist does have a tendency to stop impulse buying which I sometimes tend to do!

We fought to believe the impossible

Jumpsuit: Kelly Brook for New Look Shoes: New Look Earrings: ASOS
I cannot believe for the life of me that I finally caved in and wore a jumpsuit. Yes, me in a jumpsuit. I do maxi dresses, I do maxi skirts but jumpsuits? Never. But in the past month and a half I've been beyond tempted to try and get a jumpsuit. There was one by Topshop that I fell in love with but was scared to get, and now I've found this one and I love it! It's got such a sleek look about it, and accentuates all the right points in your body.
When I tried this on I immediately thought what this needs is a pony tail, and make myself look like I mean business, lol! So that's what I did. One of my best friends and fellow blogger Martina, suggested that I wear red lipstick and to which I thought and a smokey brown eye! And it worked pretty damn well if you don't mind me saying! I absolutely love things that I could wear to work, events, going out etc and this does it for me. I can probably wear it most places that need me dressing up a bit!
I think this is the first time my local New Look has brought in the Kelly Brook range which is exciting because I do like quite a few things from Kelly Brook One thing that I love about is that it's quite a dressing up range and not really everyday stuff. You walk into a shop and spot most things that are casual and not enough dressing up things. So having this one Kelly Brook section with dressy pieces is amazing. I hope my local New Look keep bringing in Kelly Brook clothing because I am loving it!

Cover my Eyes

Top: Miss Selfridge Trousers: ASOS Shoes: New Look Earrings: Centra Moda
I wore this outfit to view the Ta' Mena estate. All I knew about Ta' Mena is that they made this amazing home made tomato paste which is thick and jam like. It's got no preservatives, no artificial flavourings, it's all natural and delicious. What they also make is wine! Lots of it and infact I learnt quite a bit of wine, including on how to taste it properly. They use no pesticides on their trees or plants.. it's all au naturel. Very nice to know when we live in a world where all we do is eat things that have been modified or full of chemicals. It's actually a dream of mine to grow my own vegetables and some fruit!
I absolutely love these trousers, and I can wear them with a variety of tops including mint! I am not a trouser person.. even though I own at least 5 pairs.. but still! Not a trouser person, especially not in Summer. But these are so lightweight and comfortable that I can't resist not wearing them! I can see myself wearing these pants in winter with a pair of thicks tights layered underneath, LOVE. This top is what I call my moustache top. The collar is layered, and it just looks like a moustache! I actually wear this in the winter time as well with a jumper on top so the moustache collar peeps out.
