You got that red lipstick on

ELF Studio Matte Lip Colour - Rich Red

When I bought this product, I was expecting a deep red colour. Instead I got a red with pink undertones. It's definitely a gorgeous colour, but it wasn't what I was expecting. It's definitely a welcome addition to my lipstick collection though. There are a couple of things I don't like about it and one of them is the application. It takes AGES to apply the product to your lips. Think of it like this, a fat lipliner being used as a lipstick. The feel of the product is that of a lip liner. It's kind of drying to be completely honest. At the same time, the fat lipliner makes the product application a lot more precise. And because its matte, it doesn't go all over the place.. it sticks to your lips.
This is basically an initial review, 'cause I have no idea whether I'm going to like it in the long run or not. I know I like the colour and it feels a lot easier to wear. Now maybe it's because I'm used to wearing reds, or maybe because this is such a beautiful colour that you look at the mirror and think DAMN.
So here's a few points about this product:
- Packaging is gorgeous but gets stained really easily. It's matte packaging after all.
- Its shaped like a lip liner, but a little bit bigger which makes it a lot more preciser to apply.
- It takes ages to apply the product though
- It's matte - huge plus in my book since I like my matte lipsticks
- Packaging makes it easy to carry it around since its not bulky at all.
- Pretty damn fine colour - Deceptive name since it's not a rich red.

It's fearless

ELF Lipstick - Fearless

First thought in my head as I opened the top of the lipstick was, "Talk about plastic.." Then, I decided to smell it. I hate lipsticks that smell bad.. and the lipsticks that smell like the old lipsticks, sort of like crayola type smells make me gag. This one smells like Raspberries! RASPBERIES. *SNIFF*. I honestly felt like I was getting high on a lipstick.. what with me sniffing it and all. Okay, bad joke over. But honestly the smell is a seller right there. Next, decided to swatch it and was expecting it to be a bit hard to swatch. Was it? Er, no. SO CREAMY.
- Packaging is a bit off putting.
- Shape of lipstick, also a bit off putting.
- Smell? Amazing. It smells of Raspberries. WIN!
- Lipstick is creamy and very pigmented
- Pillarbox red colour
- Fades off quite easily, so it needs re-application.
- Doesn't fade of your hand as easily, its stained my hand.
Overall feel of this product, cheap and not really worth it. It doesn't last long at all, and if I'm wearing a lipstick why should I feel like I need to constantly apply it? :/ At maximum, it MAYBE lasts a little less than an hour. And that's without you drinking anything or eating anything. Thumbs down for this one.

Sammy dress review

Top: SammyDress
After debating whether or not I should order from SammyDress, I ended up placing an order. Now, I express my love for ebay quite a lot, especially because you can buy things for a whole lot cheaper on there compared to websites such as Romwe, who also stock some 'e-bay' items. With SammyDress however, I had read a lot of bad reviews, even though it was cheap and seemed like a good website. I decided to take the risk anyway, but ordered only one thing.
I bought this gorgeous gray top with a white collar and cuff detailing, which was very similar to a topshop one I had wanted a year ago. It was on offer with free shipping and I also found a discount code on google to use. The top was originally $12.41 but I ended up paying $11.17
Now, I do realize I read quite a lot of bad reviews, and still ended up placing an order, but I placed an order for one item. I don't think I was ready to take a risk with more than one item. Whilst with this particular item I have no issue, I do have a huge issue with their customer service. Yes, this is a cheap clothing website, but I still expect customer service, especially since this is a rather large website. The day I placed my order, I got an e-mail saying that when they end up shipping my item, they will e-mail me the tracking number. I never got the e-mailed with the number, and after two messages left to their customer care, I got a reply about a week and a half with the tracking number. The tracking number never worked.
I placed my order on the 31st of January, and I received my order on the 25th of February. For free shipping which is flat rate shipping, that is really fast! I have waited for items for over a month and a half at times, and then got them. So for this time round, sammy dress has a thumbs up.
Would I recommend this site to anyone? Yes. Why? Everything is very cheap or inexpensive on the website. Who doesn't like cheap things?! They also deliver your items at the end of the day, whether it is a month and a half after or before.
Would I buy from this site again? Yes, but I would keep in mind that the customer service is bad and that patience is a virtue.
In regards to the item I bought
- The quality is great.
- The size for a UK 8-10 is perfect.
- It was cheap
- Thin material
I also would like to add that sammydress.com is a wholesale website, which usually means they get their items from other places and then just sell them on their website. Sammydress sold this item to me brand new with tags, but the tags weren't theirs. In my case it was either Orange Fashion or Hua Mei Fashion. Not sure if it means the same thing, but either way, not a sammydress label, which to me is a good thing since they're not explicitly claiming that this stuff is theirs alone.

Apocalips now!

Rimmel Apocalips - Apocalyptic

When I read about these Apocalips on the blogosphere, I automatically dissed them. They looked like lipglosses, swatched they looked like a more pigmented lipgloss, and I automatically hated them. One time, I was browsing for a L.E by Catrice and went to look around at the Rimmel stand and guess what I see? Apocalips!
But, surprisingly enough I was intrigued and went to swatch the only 2 colours I was interested in. The pink one - Apocalyptic and the red one - Big Bang. Now I've only bought Apocalyptic for 5.90 from ASOS but I'm tempted to buy Big Bang now. This is from someone that's dissed them without trying them on and hated them. I'm not going to say I love them.. I mainly love their colours. But when I swatched them.. there was something about them that I liked.
- Pigmentation is EXCELLENT - One swipe on your lips without having to go over it again, and its insane.
- True colour: The colour on the applicator, is the exact colour that comes off of your lips
- The doe foot applicator with the little hole in it: One dip into the product and you can cover your whole lips with them
- They're a liquid lipstick making them easier to apply
- You can blend out the colour to be a lot less bright and in your face
- Texture is that of a lipstick, not that of a lipgloss
- Packaging is absolutely gorgeous: Ombre'd packaging and the top of the packaging is diamond-like
- Portable: It can fit in a small bag quite easily
- Cheap off of ASOS
Would  I recommend you buying these? And please remember that this is someone who initially hated them because of their lipgloss deceiving look. YES. I would recommend them! Wouldn't mind if more colours came out from this range at all. Now, I'd describe Apocalyptic as a reddish pink. It's definitely more on the red side than anything, and it is bright, and beautiful and smooth and love.
